These days HTPC’s, smart TV’s and media boxes like a Roku or Apple TV are all the rage. You can find pretty much anything out there to meet a price point and feature point Looking for a box to just stream netflix or amazon prime movies?
Sure there a few out there for that, looking to stream movies off your home network? No problem there is a device that can do that. Then of course you also have the option of building a full-blown HTPC to play games and offer up the same power as a full-blown desktop in a tiny box.
Pivos has a device that can do a little bit of everything. The Xios DS is pretty much an Android in a box you can attach to your television. If you are someone who does not want to go and buy a full-blown smart TV, a box like this can make alot of sense to take advantage of your google apps on a smartpone or tablet and use them on the TV as well.
The Xios DS goes a step further and gives XMBC media centre capabilities out of the box. If you have not heard of XMBC before here is a link to a bit of information about it. Pivos is the first company to offer this kind of support from a manufacturer. Color me impressed.
