Conclusion and Verdict
The PQ850M is an exceptional PSU. Everything worked as intended, and we had no problems during all the tests. The PSU was used in a couple of previous reviews, so we had a chance to check it on AMD and Intel platforms and various graphics cards.
Even though the PSU is from the new series, it doesn’t include ATX 3.0 or PCIe 5.0. It’s not a problem, as we can use power adapters included in the latest Nvidia graphics cards, and everything else works without changes. The PQ850M proved high efficiency and quiet work even at a continuous 700W+ load.
The quality of the PSU is top-notch. Everything from soldering to used components is great, so we can be sure our PC is well-protected and gets enough power. The PQ850M is clearly on the top PSUs list of the current market.
The high quality is also confirmed by a 10-year warranty. Barely any brand decides on this step, while DeepCool is clearly not afraid of its products and trusts it will live long and problem-free.
I can’t find DeepCool PQ850M 850W PSU in popular online stores, but the PQ750M 750W 80+ Gold PSU is available on Amazon for around $163.99. We hope that the 850W unit price will be lower when it is back in stock, as this price for the 750W PSU is a bit high. I’m sure you can find these PSUs in some other stores at a lower price, as Amazon is known to be not the cheapest.
