Performance
For all testing I was using a i5 6500 being cooled by the G100M low profile cooler from Cooler Master, A MSI Gaming X 1080ti, 4 case fans running at max RPM, and 2 LED light strips.
Additional Features
The PSU comes with a few extra controls on the back when compared to most power supplies including a silent mode that doesn’t turn the fan on until the temperatures get higher (I personally had the silent mode off for testing and the fan was never audible). And the hardware RGB lighting control, Pressing this button will let you cycle through the colors and animations until you find the one that suits you best.
The PSU does come with pretty much every cable needed for any system you may be building. Each of the two GPU cables can also split into two 8 Pin connectors allowing you to run multi GPU set ups if you choose.
One random stylistic choice that I really like is that the included cables for your GPU are red which matches nicely with my case and graphics card. This is a pretty minor thing and entirely depends on how much red you have in your build but for me it worked out quite nicely.
Pricing and Value
This is the one category that I don’t feel enthusiastic about, coming in at a MSRP of $139.99 this is certainly not the cheapest 650W PSU around. Even with the extras like being fully modular, the fancy lighting, high-efficiency and high quality internals it’s still quite pricey although I do feel like the extras do add a lot of value when compared to the cheaper alternatives.
Ultimately you will have to decide whether or not the extra features are worth the extra price but I personally feel it needs to be closer to the $100 price point to be truly justified.
Now lets move on to the final thoughts and conclusion.
