Today, we’ll be taking a look at the Gigabyte UD1000GM PG5 (rev. 2.0) power supply. It’s a fully modular and compact power supply that’s 80 Plus Gold certified, and has a powerful 12V single rail at 83.3 Amps giving you a total power uput of up to 1000W.
It’s supports Intel ATX 3.0 standard and features a 12VHPWR 16-pin connector supporting PCIE Gen 5.0 graphics cards up to 600W at 55 Amps.
It’s Ultra Durable design includes 100% high quality Japanese capacitors, and a 120MM SMART HYDRAULIC BEARING (HYB) fan which offers enhanced cooling.
You get the usual motherboard connectors, 3 x 8-pin PCIE connectors, 1 x 16pin 12VHPWR connector and 3 x 6-pin connectors for peripherals.
The PSU is compact in size measuring just 150 x 140 x 86mm, and should fit in most cases out there.
The power supply also provides ample protection such as OCP, OTP, OVP, OPP, UVP and SCP, all of which ensures the stable operation of your PC system.
The package also comes with the usual flat modular cables which includes … 24-pin ATX motherboard cable, 3 x PCIE power, 1 x 16-pin 12VHPWR cable (600W), 2 x SATA power, and 1 x Molex.

We’ll also be using an Asus Strix Z790-E Gaming motherboard, 32GB of DDR5-7200 ram, a Lexar NM800 2TB SSD, and a powerful GeForce RTX 4080 Super (with the 16-pin PCIE 5.0 power connector). For cooling, we’ll using the Hyte THICC Q60 AIO cooler with 2 pre-installed 32mm THIC FP12 cooling fans.
