Packaging
In the box there is the power supply itself along with all the cables which we will look at in depth next. Also, extra cable managment clips are included and a manual for extra information. The packaging itself is very aesthetic with a nice blue and white colour theme, and images that shows the overall power supply. There is also more information that can be found on the outside of the box. A foam padding layer is added inside the box for extra protection with a foam cover that goes on top of the items. This is a very good thought from Kiss Quiet as it decreases the chances of any damages to occur.
Cables
The cables are embossing reinforced solid cables which uses industiral-grade, high temperature resistant materials. Compared to traditional flat cables, these are more solid and easier to build with. The colour of the cables are white which also adds a different look that is very aesthetic and perfect for white pc builds.
Cables include:
- 1 x 24-pin motherbaord cable
- 2 x (4+4-pin) CPU cables
- 2 x (6+2-pin) PCIe cables
- 6 x SATA cables
- 6 x Molext cables
- 1 x (H++12V-2×6) cable
A Closer Look
The Kiss Quiet Silent G3 PSU measures dimensions of 150 x 140 x 8.5 centimetres and weighs 1.2kg. It is not too chunky but not too small either. You can check out a comparison of the PSU to a phone in a photo below.
If you take a closer look at the label on the PSU, it tells us that this PSU features +12V single rail at 62.5A and gives a maximun power output of up to 750W. This PSU can run demanding hardware, however it could struggle slightly with the newest and most powerful hardware. If so you should check out their higher Kiss Quiet’s wattage version’s of PSUs.
At the back of the PSU, there is a special feature that most PSU don’t have. This being the smart eco system function from a press of a button. With this feature, you are able to freely choose between constant rotation of the fans or fanless mode at below 40% load. It gives you a silent feeling, allowing your system to operate in a safe and stable environment.
Installation
To test this PSU, we instaled it into the Thermaltake View 380 Mid-Tower Case. The power supply was easy to install with no problems. We simply screwed it in!
With the PSU installed, there is still plenty of space for cable management which you can do using the included cable management clips, and the cables are easily bent as they are flexible.
