Packaging
The power supply is nicely packaged and comes with a velvet pouch containing all the braided modular cables and some velcro straps for cable management.
The Cables
As you can see below, you get the full set of cables which includes 2 x Molex, 2 x SATA, 1 x 24-pin ATX power for the motherboard, 1 x USB-C cable, 2 x 8-pin (EPS) CPU and 9 x 8-pin (6+2) PCIE cables. And finally, 2 x 12VHPWR 16-pin PCIe 5.0 cables, which is rated up to 600W for GeForce RTX grapphics cards.
A Closer Look
The build quality of the PSU is extremely solid, and has metal grilles for cooling on the top. This power supply has a load of connectors, the mosdt I’ve ever seen for a PSU.
Next to the mains power switch, you’ll find the Zero fan on/off switch. Enabling the Zero fan mode allows silent operation when TPD is below 55% helping you save energy.
You’ll also notice that the mains power connector is different from your usual kettle lead type. It’s the same ones you’ll find on server power supplies.
Another feature I really like, is the USB-C port which you can connect to the motherboard and this allow you to monitor the PSU’s health and power usage using MSI Center.
