OCZ Fatal1ty 750W Gaming Power Supply Review

Fatal1ty is OCZ’s gaming and enthusiast PSU line. Reviewed model is a renewed series which is compatible with 4th generation of Intel Core processors – Haswell.

Below is a table with PSU specifications. It already looks good comparing it to other ATX PSUs.

As we can see on the attached photo, there is a single 62.5A , +12V rail. That’s a lot of power for usual gaming computer and can easily handle two graphics cards and additional devices.

OCZ declares compatibility with 80 Plus Bronze standard so at least 81% efficiency at 100% load.

As we see on the above photo, OCZ is sure about its product quality and gives 5 year warranty on Fatal1ty 750W PSU. That’s an option which we can see almost only in most expensive, high end PSUs.

Black and red coloured package looks good. Box is rather large and includes general description together with some logos showing us 80 PLUS BRONZE certification and given 5 year warranty.

Inside the box we can find power cord ( depends from localization can be US or EU standard ), users manual, warranty information, bag of modular cables and PSU itself.

Now let’s take a look at the PSU. It looks really good in black color with red details.

PSU fan has red leds what can be additional advantage if you are planning to keep your PC in red/black theme.

New OCZ Fatal1ty PSU is fully modular what simply means you can use as many power cables as you need.

There are 4 connectors for CPU/PCI-E lines , 4 peripherals/IDE/SATA connectors and 2 for motherboard 24 pin cable. All connectors are also labeled and it’s hard to connect the cables in the wrong way.

Black paint texture is also resistant to scratches or fingerprints what can happen during installation.

Design is simple but has its style and should be good option for most users as it’s not too flashy even though there is a fan with red LEDs.
