Conclusion and Verdict
In conclusion, just like the counter part the old version Phontum, these are great. They have big sound and are pretty comfortable. They can be a little tight at first. You do have the option of another earpad to apply to the headset. I do recommend giving these a nice stretch to loosen up the stiffness of the headband. The large 53mm drivers deliver a full, rich soundscape. I am always a fan of larger drivers. Goes with the saying the bigger the better. These are of course equipped with some nice subtle RGB. The software is actually pretty good. The only thing I hope to see in the future with Cougar software is an all in one software suite. If you have multiple cougar devices you have to download them individually rather than having all you devices under one roof. Not a terrible thing just more convenient especially if you use several Cougar devices at once.
Lets have a quick recap. Big sound, check. RGB, check. Extra set of Ear Pads, Check. Compatibility, check. Software controlled, check. This headset checks a lot of boxes. These factors can make your gaming, movie watching, music listening so much more enjoyable. Having the right headset can make what you are doing, just a little more enjoyable. And these are definitely a solid choice if you are needing a headset capable of connecting to multiple devices and had 53mm drivers. The 53mm drivers seem to be where a lot of these headset top out at. You are not going to be able to find many with larger drivers. These are not going to blow you ear drums out (I guess they could if you maxed them out all the time) but you wont have and you will still be able to feel the rumble of the bass on your ears.

The Phontum Pro offers the connections to be able to use this headset with just about any device you have. The headset features a healthy spec sheet so you will enjoy the sound coming from all your devices and you have a nice ring of RGB to show off!
