Creative Pebble V3 is engineered with Clear Dialog audio processing that picks up vocals to give you rich and clear dialogs, so you can hear every word without having to turn up the volume, and without sacrificing any ambient effect.
BUILT-IN GAIN SWITCH
Enhance your binge-watching experience even at high volume levels without distortion! In newer devices with 10W USB-C or USB-A port, the built-in gain switch located at the bottom of the Pebble V3’s right speaker automatically activates high gain mode for amplified audio, with capabilities to fire acoustics power of 8W RMS and peak power of up to 16W.
THE PEBBLE V3 COMPARED TO THE PEBBLE V2
So as you can see in the picture below the V3 not only has a larger front speakers but the rear drivers are also a little larger. You can also see a slight difference in the plastic material. The V3 is more black, while the V2 had a hint of blue. The speaker material on the front and back look like identical materials. I used a sound meter to record max decibel achieved by both speakers. The V3 reached a max reading of 89 decibels, while the V2 reached 82. I got a difference of 7 while creative is quoted saying “increases loudness by 3 decibels which results in higher volume“. Which is better than advertised and their method of testing is probably way more strict than mine. None-the-less I can confirm the V3 is indeed a noticeable amount louder than the V2. The larger speakers make a difference in max sound and the depth of the sound on the V3 was also noticeably deeper. Both speakers handled max volumes very well. There wasn’t very much distortion from either set of speakers. Just be sure to use a USB Power Adapter of up to 5V 2A output, or a USB-C 10W Power Adapter. All you have to do is read the small print on the charging block from your phone and it just may suffice. I found a charging laying around that was 5.3V 2.0A and it worked perfectly. Or you could invest in the CREATIVE 30W PD ADAPTER that will future proof your charging block for some time.
