Specifications
Specification of the Viper V360 is good. Not the best I’ve seen but should be more than enough for even more demanding gamers. Frequency response is in the range in which most human can hear. There are of course exception but most sounds should be clear.
USB cable is a nice option which makes use of the headset easier or at least faster to connect. Gamers are also more often moving to laptops where you won’t find 3 mini-jack connectors while there are always USB ports.
Closer Look
We have received Patriot Viper V360 headset in a retail box which looks pretty nice as you see on below photos. In front of the package we can see how the headset will look like and the main features. On back there is full specification and additional info about the product. I think it’s all we need to know about a headset.
All is well described on the package and in the attached manual. All is actually pretty obvious but there are always users who have problems with some settings so better is to describe all.
The Viper V360 has 2 switches and a wheel. Switches are used to enable build-in LED lighting and Ultra Bass Response feature which is improving effect of bass. Wheel is used to tune volume. Nothing unusual here. Simple but functional.
The Viper V360 is well protected by a box and additional plastic form which is also keeping the headset from moving. We have seen better quality packages but the most important is that our new headset arrives in a perfect condition. In this case it’s good enough and probably also lowers cost of the all set.
Inside the package besides the headset we can find quick start guide, a pouch and two Viper logo stickers. Actually I wasn’t expecting more while stickers and the pouch are a nice bonus.
The headset has quite long cable – 2.2 meters. It also has USB connector so it makes much easier to connect the Viper V360 to any computer or even mobile devices if you have additional micro-USB cable.
Below you can see some more photos. My impressions are quite good even though you can feel that materials could be better. It would of course affect the price and we don’t want that. It still feels like Patriot made a good job designing Viper V360.
