Packaging and Contents
Perixx sent the AX 1200 in a regular brown card board box. If you are ordering online, I would guess that newegg and amazon would do the same. I don’t know about you, but I like to shake the box when I receive it. Guessing it stems from when I was a kid wanting to guess what kind of Christmas present I was about to receive. Shaking this box surprised me! I could feel the package bouncing around inside which worried me. I promptly took out my knife and cut the box open. Surprisingly enough, the AX-1200 was undamaged since the headset comes tightly secured and protected by its own box and case. Perixx’s box for the 1200 is the same color scheme as the headset, which is black and red.
On the front of the box in the top Right corner is the logo, which has the company name and website (Perixx, www.Perixx.com). Towards the bottom left, we have the brand name (AX-1200) written in bold red letters, while also stating the product type (Gaming Headset) in bold white letters. The bottom right corner has a stamp in black, red, and yellow that states this headset was designed in Germany. Both sides of the box have the same layout. At the top is the Perixx logo, while the bottom shows the brand name (AX-1200) in white, type of product (gaming headset) in white, and the words Value Creator in red. Sitting in the middle of each side is a list of three features with pictures. The right side has folding design, In-line audio control, and Headband with soft pad features listed, while the left side has 15 level width adjustment, durable braided cable and gold plated audio connector listed. Perixx lists all the features in eight different languages on the back. The brand name, product type, and logo is in the same color scheme as the rest of the box and resides right above the features. Towards the bottom lists the contents and has the headquarters of Perixx written in four different languages.
Pulling the flap at the top opens the box. Inside you will notice how tightly the headset is packaged. Sitting inside a plastic case that is red in color at the bottom and has a clear top is the AX-1200. When pulling out the casing you will notice that the User Manual, braided cable, and Splitter cable was sitting behind the headset’s case. Pulling off the top case gives a clear look at Perixx’s AX-1200 and man she is a beauty! The User Manual does not have much on it, mainly lists the features and has the limited warranty info in it.
Now lets get a closer look at the AX-1200 and see how well it performed!
