Packaging & Contents
In comparison with other gaming headsets out on the market, the G4ME ZERO’s box is surprisingly thin, leading to thoughts on how the headset could be contained within its packaging.
Inside the box you will find the G4ME ZERO headset within a carry case. The wiring is not detachable, and a Combo Audio Adaptor (PCV 05) ,that works for PC, Xbox One and PS4 is provided, providing both audio and line in via one audio port.
Design & Comfort
And here’s why the box is so thin; the ear cups of the G4ME ZERO are placed on a 90 degree pivot that allows you to turn the ear cups inwards allowing for easy compact storage and not have protruding ear cups when you slip the G4ME ZERO off your ears and hang them around your neck.
The ear cups come in an extra large size, ensuring that even the biggest ears are comfortably and fully covered. With the use of memory form on the ear cups, and weighing in at just 312 grammes, the G4ME ZERO is very comfortable to wear even during long periods of gaming. I found the pressure forced around my ears to be just right, giving me an assurance that the headset would not fly off during frantic gameplay, and not too tight so that it would ache the side of head.
As your ears are fully covered by the ear cups of the G4ME ZERO, the majority of surrounding noise is blocked out.
Situated on the right ear cup you will find a rotating volume control.
The microphone is situated on the left ear cup, and can be folded up when not in use which also mutes it. The microphone uses noise-cancelling technology so that other gamers can hear you crisp and clearly. Along the middle section of the microphone, the composition if made of rubber which allow you to twist and bend the microphone as you wish to find your desired positioning of the microphones.
As previously mentioned, the attached wiring is not detachable but is 3 metres in length, pretty much standard for gaming headsets, allowing you a bit more freedom of movement away from your gaming desk.
