Design & Comfort
Just like the Momentum 2.0 Over Ear, the Momentum On-Ear Wireless folds into itself for added portability, and when fully extended for use, the hinges provide a satisfying ‘thud’ that locks the arms into place.
Sennheiser has kept the use of Alcantara leather in the headband and ear cups, but with a more rough suede feel, unlike the smooth leather on the On-Ears. The cups sit well on your ears, without the feeling that your head is in a vice. The leather ear cups are removable in the event that you will need to replace them. The ear cups are positioned on a 360 pivot joint, giving you maximum control on how well the ear cups sit on your ears, providing you with as much comfort as possible.
The volume control on the Momentum On-Ear Wireless is on the underside of the right ear cup, utilizing a rocker switch. We like this idea of using a rocker switch, as pressing a conventional switch normally slightly adjusts the positioning of the headset on your ears. The rocker switch can also be pushed in to control your music (start/pause, skip, precious song, fast forward and rewind) and for your telephone calls (accept/end calls, reject calls and toggle between calls).
The 4 microphones are situated near the underside of both ear cups, which are used not only for making calls, but also Sennheiser’s NoiseGard acting as noise-cancellation. No in-line remote control on the audio cable provided, I guess Sennheiser wants this to be as much of a wireless experience as possible.
