Design & Comfort
Aside from the sound quality, a good pair of gaming headset needs to not only look cool but to provide comfort for hours of gameplay, and the Siberia 350 ticks both these boxes.
One of the best features of the Siberia 350 is how comfortable it is to wear. SteelSeries has chose to use a suspension headband in this case, using memory pads on the underside of the headband, with luxurious leather on the outside with the SteelSeries logo and brand name.
Other headsets which I have tried that used a suspension headband failed in my opinion due to the compression feeling on the top of your head, with the headband pushing down. SteelSeries in this case has elected to use less tension on their headband, resulting in less compression but you won’t get the feeling the headset will fall off.
The over sized ear cups on the Siberia 350 are of a circular design, bringing with it a symmetrical look. Whilst other headsets would opt for oval design to match the shape of the ears, you shouldn’t be put off by the circular ear cups as the size of them provide ample room for you ears to reside in. For added comfort, memory foam is used to line the rim of the ear cups covered in soft leather. The ear cups are mounted on hinges which ensures that they sit on the sides of your head perfectly.
Wearing a set of Siberia 350 for several hours provided no discomfort, and no feeling of something clamping on your head. One downside that I have found is that my ears did get a little sweaty from wearing the Siberia 350 for long periods.
