SteelSeries Engine 3
The SteelSeries Engine 3 is a complimentary piece of software running on Windows 7 – Windows 10 and Mac OS X 10.8 – 10.11, and is just packed full of features to control your SteelSeries mice, keyboards and gaming headsets
GameSense is the new way that your games and gear become one. SteelSeries Engine 3 talks directly to your game, which changes your device’s illumination in real time, based off of in-game events. Ammo, health, kills, money, and cooldown timers are just a few things that you can integrate into your gear. The possibilities are endless!
Downloading and installation of the Engine 3 software is very straight forward. Once installed, as soon as you plug in the Siberia 350 into the PC’s or Mac’s USB port, the Engine 3 will recognize it, allowing you to configure it to your heart’s content.
This screen will allow you adjust the sound quality of your Siberia 350, both the audio you hear and the microphone. If you are playing a fast action multiplayer FPS, you might want to increase the bass a little to hear the effects of your weapon or the footsteps of your enemies, or if you’re playing a more storyline horror game, you might want to increase the mid-tones to increase the ambience. Once you have set up the sound quality to how you like it, you can save it as a profile so you can quickly switch between different profiles to suit your moods without having to fiddle with slider bars again.
Setting the color of the LEDs on the sides of the ear cups to just the right color and tone to your liking is done by clicking the LED button. Here you have the full range of the 16million color palette at your disposal, or just simply pick one of the 5 preset colors. At the top you can have the LED illuminations perform different effects, with the steady always on setting as default. Go for a flashy throbbing effect if you prefer, or have it on color-shift and let it pulsate through all the colors.
