Conclusion and Verdict
I gave this headset a thorough rundown and tested each feature in depth. Lets start by adressing the ANC function. The ANC function can be quite useful in certain situations. The ANC can be activated to help suffocate ambient noise. The ANC function also has a function that allows all the ambient noise to pass through. This can be useful if you are not wanting to miss what is going on around you. Both functions work well and there wasn’t any noticeable audio degradation. The Bluetooth works as intended. The Bluetooth 5.0 technology has a very strong connection and has been the standard for a while now. The 40mm drivers are the minimum driver size I would recommend for a headset. Anything smaller and the bass can struggle on delivery. Thankfully that isn’t the case with the QuietPlus 78. The audio profile is decent and you won’t be disappointed in the sound quality.
The ergonomic design makes sure they stay put and they never fell off when I was moving around. They have a height adjustment on the headband and also have a tilt function on the earcups, that help the earcup form to the shape of your head. The battery life was pretty much as good as advertised. I nearly got the 35 hours of continuous play. and the quick charge of 10 minutes really did provide almost 4 hours of playback.
ANC in simple terms is a noise produced that’s basically undetectable as a sound, that cancels out ambient noise. Its a white noise to drown out other noises in the background. I have noticed that on some headphones with these feature on, take a small hit in performance. That being battery life and even in some cases, sound. The ANC worked very well and I hardly noticed a fall in performance when it was active.
