Conclusion and Verdict
I can’t say I’m totally shocked by the performance of the Onyx Neo because all the other products form Tronsmart I have tested in the past have stood up to all the tests. These are definitely the real deal when it comes to earbuds. The price is so low that I am still amazed by them. The connection is strong thanks to aptX. I rarely encountered any cut outs when moving around or moving my phone. This is vitally important because no one wants to listen to music and have it constantly cut out.
So thumbs up on the connection for sure. The sound was great. Honestly I have had better sounding earbuds in the past but that was just because the specs provided that amount of improvement and they were tipping the 200 dollar range. Now with these being only 10% of that cost they are in no way 90% worse. These earbuds have a very crisp and clear sound. All-in-all very good sound quality. Trust me they wouldn’t have the aptX certification if they didn’t.
Call quality? The noise cancellation is there and present and I never had a complaint from the other end. I like the touch controls and there are a bunch of them. I found them to be mostly intuitive. I had to look at the guide a couple of time because each earbud has its own functions. My only complaint about the touch system, you can easily activate the touch when adjusting the earbud. That is because the touch sensitive area is covering the majority of the surface area. On the plus side, the touch area is different than the rest of the earbud so you can easily distinguish between the earbud and the touch control area.

The Tronsmart Onyx Neo is a super affordable set of wireless earbuds. The price is amazing and the sound quality is quite impressive! The aptX certification is a must have for any set of earbuds! You can’t go wrong with the Onyx Neo if you need a new set of earbuds!
