Acer Predator GM7000 4TB M.2 NVMe SSD Review

Conclusion and Verdict

I was very satisfied with the results of the GM7000 2TB SSD, but the 4TB version is even better. We get a bit higher performance in a twice as high capacity that is rated for many more writes, so it will live much longer. In our tests, we could pass the declared maximum bandwidth achieving over 7.44GB/s, which makes it one of the fastest SSD on the market. The SSD was quite hot during longer tests, but it wasn’t throttling, or it wasn’t significant. Even though the graphene pad is lowering the temperature, if our motherboard comes with a large heat sink, then I recommend using it.

The GM7000 is an excellent option for all users with a lot of data requiring it to work fast. In short, it’s perfect for storing a large games library. With the dropping prices of SSD, it’s quite tempting to go with the higher capacity. We haven’t seen the 4TB version in stores yet, but the 2TB version is $50 cheaper than when we reviewed it. 2TB GM7000 SSD for around $210 is a great deal. We assume that the 4TB version will cost close to $350, but let’s wait until it appears in stores.

During the tests, there were no problems with the compatibility or stability of the Predator GM7000 SSD. The Predator GM7000 is covered by a 5-year warranty, one of the longest options on the market.
