Specification
Model which is interesting us in this review is of course 256GB which is specified to offer bandwidth up to 560MB/s read and 360MB/s write.
Below we can see Marvell controller marked 88SS9189-BLD2 and Micron NAND. New controller and high quality NAND offer higher performance than previous generation. Marvell is also known from delivering problem-free and stable controllers so we expect only the best.
Closer Look
ADATA SP920 SSD came to our redaction in a retail box. Package includes SSD, user’s manual, 2.5″ to 3.5″ bracket, 7mm to 9.5 mm holder and couple mounting screws. Simply everything we need to install our brand new SSD in every laptop or desktop PC. ADATA is also adding Acronis HD 2013 key which we can find on the SSD sticker ( so we won’t lose it ).
7mm to 9.5mm holder is really good idea and not many manufacturers are adding something similar. It let us use 7mm SSD in laptops with 9.5mm drive bay.
On the back we can see already mentioned Acronis ATI HD 2013 key ( here it’s hidden ). Nice addition to a SSD especially that Acronis provides one of the best backup software on the market.
