Today, we ‘ll be taking a look at the Corsair MP700 PRO SE PCIE Gen5 x4 SSD. It’s available in 2TB or 4TB capacities, and utilizes the Phison E26 SSD controller, along with Micron’s 232-Layer 3D TLC NAND chips.
It supports the latest PCIE 5.0 technologies and NVMe 2.0 interface, to give you high-speed data transfer and best-in-class performance.
The MP700 PRO SE comes with a SATA-powered integrated air cooler, which helps to cool the SSD and prevents it from throttling.
It offers a jaw-dropping Sequential Read speed of up to 14,000 MB/sec, and a Sequential Write speed of up to 12,000 MB/sec.
The MP700 PRO SE is arguably one of the of the fastest SSDs on the market right now, and it’s perfect for hardcore gaming enthusiasts, power users and content creators.
Confused and NAND flash memory? Well, there are several types of NAND flash memory used in most of today’s SSDs. The two most popular are SLC and MLC, and now TLC. Here’s a little background taken from HOWTOGEEK.
I would like to send a big thank you to Corsair for the review sample! Here is a snippet of what they have to say about themselves on their website:

On paper, this is one of the first SSDs we’ve tested, so it will be interesting to see if the claims are true. At the very least, I’m expecting some good results. We’ll be using our usual test rig which is comprised of an Intel core i9-14900K sitting on an Asus Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi motherboard, along with 32Gb of DDR5-7200 ram and a GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER.
OK, let’s dive straight in and start by taking a look at the specifications on the next page.
