Photos and Pictures
As usual we’ll start our tour with the box.
Nice simple box, I like this a lot better than many boxes that come covered with pictures of all sorts of nonsense. Crucial’s decision to use a straightforward box is appreciated!
Inside the box is a plastic tray with the SSD in it, under the tray is a little booklet with the warranty information as well as instructions for installing the drive.
The drive itself is tiny if you’re used to normal 3.5″ hard drives, and it weighs almost nothing!
Oh yeah, and it’s sensitive to static, in case you didn’t notice.
The drive itself looks nearly identical to the rest of the SSD world, which isn’t surprising really.
On the inside there is a single PCB with flash chips on both sides, as well as a 128MB DDR3 chip for cache, and the controller itself.
