Conclusion
M.2 version of Crucial MX200 is clearly a good SSD. High performance and many additional features make it one of the best options on the market.
Performance is high but we could count on something more. Actually overall performance is slightly higher than Crucial MX100. Since we have similar speed then what was improved ? For sure MX200 is available in more form factors as MX100 was only in SATA version. Crucial also improved endurance and couple of additional options what make MX200 one of the most reliable SSD on our market.
Price is also great. 500GB version of Crucial MX200 is available for about $200 in many online stores like Amazon, what is hard to beat by competition.
Crucial is offering three year limited warranty and their great support. I think it could be five years warranty with drive’s improved endurance but can’t really complain at three years either. Many brands stick to two year warranty for flash memory products.
Pros:
- High performance
- High endurance comparing to competition
- Good price/performance ratio
- Good support and 3 year warranty
Cons:
- Performance is high but could be higher
Final words:
Crucial MX200 500GB M.2 SSD is one of the best options on the SSD market especially if you need storage in a M.2 form factor.
I can recommend Crucial MX200 to all users regardless what are they doing on their computers. MX200 are fast, reliable and what’s most important for many users, also inexpensive. Simply MX200 includes all you may expect from a SSD.
