Performance
Performance of the MX300 1050GB SSD has been tested on ASRock X99M Killer 3.1 motherboard with the latest BIOS/UEFI.
Let’s beging with ATTO Disk Benchmark.
Performance in ATTO is a bit better than expected. Crucial declares bandwidth up to 530/510MB/s ( that’s read/write ) while in our test we could bee 535/516MB/s. At the same time performance was really stable and each time we could see about the same results.
CrystalDiskMark is showing about the same results. Write bandwidth is even passing 520MB/s. Additionally random transfers are really good regardless of used test files.
High performance we can also see in Anvil’s Storage Utilities but as usual this benchmark is showing lower results than any other software. Still not bad, even though lower than expected.
Mixed test scenario in PCMark 8 is confirming high performance of MX300 SSD. 252MB/s in this test is actually good result as it’s average from random read and write tests in popular applications which are listed on the screenshot above.
Final score of 4965 is also high for an SATA/M.2 SSD.
Overall performance of the MX300 M.2 SSD is better than expected. In most tests results are higher than declared by Crucial what should satisfy all users. High performance and high capacity should be good mix for most users who want to keep everything on single drive. Especially laptop users who have limited space for drives should be interested in MX300 SSD.
