Specifications
Full specification and features list which you can see below has been taken from AIDA64 raport. Probably you won’t be interested to check all this list but maybe some readers wish to see it so here it is.
Below is screenshot from CrystalDiskInfo. As you see drive is fresh – 1st power on. You can also see that MX300 temperature is 6°C lower than Kingston HyperX Savage SSD on which is installed Win 10 Pro.
One more screenshot. This time it’s Crucial Storage Executive software which is really handy tool.
Crucial MX300 750GB SSD is covered by three year warranty what is typical for Crucial SSD. Not too short but also not as long as some SSD manufacturers are offering on their higher series. Let’s say that three years is just right as most users will replace computer after about this period.
Closer Look
Crucial MX300 750GB SSD has arrived in a retail package which is small box. It’s similar package to which we have seen in previously reviewed BX100, MX100 and MX200 SSD.
Except MX300 SSD, in the package you will find 7mm to 9.5mm spacer which can be useful in older laptops and data migration software made by Acronis. Acronis is providing one of the best backup tools on the market so it’s a great choice.
Drive itself looks quite simple but we are used to see similar design in other brands. Large label is saying us it’s Crucial drive from MX series. On the back is more detailed description with product and serial numbers but also installed firmware version.
Crucial MX300 is based on Micron 3D TLC NAND and Micron DRAM. This new type of NAND is promising high performance at lowered cost. How it looks like we will find out on the next page of this review.
