Conclusion
Crucial MX300 750GB SSD leaves mixed feelings. From one side it’s fast and stable SSD which is also inexpensive and has great support. On the other hand we were expecting some more looking at the performance of previous Crucial SSD series. In some tests MX100 or MX200 SSD are simply faster. Momentum Cache feature is for sure helping but all who are using older Crucial SSD can also enable it so moving to MX300 won’t be an upgrade.
So who should look at the MX300 ? Answer is simple, all who are looking for well performing, higher capacity SSD which is at the same time inexpensive. I think that most users are looking for SSD like that and little performance difference won’t really matter. Many users are moving to laptops nowadays where standard drive is usually 500GB or 1TB HDD. Why not to replace it with much faster SSD at about the same capacity ?
Crucial MX300 750GB Limited Edition SSD is available in many online stores for about $200 what is really good price for 750GB of space. There are also no competitive SSD at this capacity so Crucial fills the gap what can be interesting for many users.
