The 2TB version of P310 has a declared maximum bandwidth of up to 7100MB/s read and up to 6000MB/s write. In our tests, we could reach the declared bandwidth. The performance is above average for PCIe 4.0 SSDs, and in random operations or real-life scenarios, it’s not far from the top series.

Crucial doesn’t specify the warranty length, besides the information that offers various warranty options. What we know for sure is that the TBW factor is quite low due to the QLC NAND. The 2TB SSD has 440 TBW.
The P310 uses a Micron 232-layer QLC NAND and Phison E27-T controller. This combo promises low power usage and high performance and data capacity at a small surface, which is more critical for the P310 in the M.2 2230 version.

The SSD arrived with a 0-hour counter and was in perfect condition. CrystalDiskInfo shows that it is brand new without SMART errors or used cells.
The idle temperature is around 30°C, which is normal. Under load, the P310 series keeps temperatures up to 77°C, so the heatsink is recommended even though we haven’t seen thermal throttling during extended work.
Crucial provides Storage Executive software, which shows general SSD info and SMART log, lets you update firmware, and adds other features.
The Crucial Software Executive is available to download directly from Crucial’s website.
On the next page, we will look at the SSD itself and the package contents.
