Package and its Contents
The package is similar to that of most new Crucial products. It says everything about the product inside and gives us an idea about the warranty, as the website only says, “Crucial offers different warranty levels for different products.” The P310 series has a 5-year warranty or the TBW limit.
The P310 is designed for desktop or laptop computers with a standard NVMe M.2 2280 socket, so it requires nothing else for the installation. The installation itself is straightforward, so everyone can handle it.
To make our new SSD run at full speed, we need a motherboard that supports the M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 standard. All modern motherboards and laptops support this standard, which is also supported by PS5 consoles. I recommend the version with a heatsink for PS5.
The P310 SSD is wholly black – black labels and black PCB. If we care about looks, it should match every kind of PC. The simple design is also eye-catching and professional.
Below, you can see how the SSD looks on the ASRock B860M Steel Legend motherboard used for tests.
We will show you how the P310 SSD performs on the next page of this review.
