Conclusion and Verdict
Crucial P5 Plus 1TB performs better than specified and, especially in random operations, beats most of the competition. It’s hard not to recommend an SSD that performs so well. During the installation and all tests, there were no problems, and everything was working perfectly fine.
During the tests, the P5 Plus SSD wasn’t overheating and, for the most time, was keeping up to 60°C. The throttling point is set relatively high at 80°C+, but we haven’t seen anything close to that temperature.
The drive itself uses a standard size M.2 2280 PCB, so it fits every modern computer, which is a clear advantage.
The Crucial P5 Plus 1TB NVMe SSD costs around $179 in the Amazon store or the Crucial store. It’s not a bad price considering that all other SSDs that offer similar performance cost significantly more.
The last thing worth mentioning is a five-year warranty. Crucial is sure about its products’ high quality, so all new SSDs have such an extended warranty. Additionally, there is also free support, which works quickly what we can’t say about the competition.
Pros:
- High performance
- Reasonable price
- High quality
- High compatibility
- 5-year warranty
Cons:
- Nothing worth to mention
Final words:
The Crucial P5 Plus 1TB SSD is fast and reliable. It’s everything we expect from a high-quality SSD. The P5 Plus SSD should satisfy even the most demanding users, including gamers and professionals. There is no better option on the market that could better or improve the user’s experience more than the P5 Plus SSD, so it’s no surprise that this SSD receives our top award.
The Crucial P5 Plus 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD is another great product which fully deserves our Editor’s Choice Award!
