Crucial T705 White Limited Edition 2TB NVMe PCIe 5.0 SSD Review

Conclusion

The new T705 Limited Edition SSD is the same well-designed T705, but it is now available with a white heatsink.

Even though there are many more PCIe 5.0 x4 SSDs in stores than when we reviewed our first T705 SSD, the T705 is still hard to beat. It performs the best and doesn’t need active cooling (if we have good airflow in the PC case).

The only disadvantage is the price. After recent price cuts, the Limited Edition costs around $347, over $65 more than the regular, black version. It’s still not a bad price, as competitive PCIe 5.0 SSDs cost even more, but it’s not convincing for most gamers. On the other hand, no one says that the T705 is for everyone as it’s designed for the most demanding gamers and PC enthusiasts, the same as every other PCIe 5.0 SSD on the current market.

Crucial offers a 5-year warranty for the T705 series SSD, which confirms that the brand is confident in the high quality of its product. Not many SSDs have such an extended warranty.

Final words:

Crucial, has produced yet another great product … this time with a refreshed, white version of the T705 that still combines the best features, like top performance and cooling. The T705 is the best SSD for the most demanding users, computer enthusiasts, and avid gamers.
