Kingston A1000 480GB NVMe SSD is entry-level SSD and it’s clear it won’t beat top SSD on the market. On the other hand, it doesn’t have to be the best to offer high enough performance to satisfy most users. Regardless if you need fast storage for gaming or typical office work, the A1000 seems like a perfect balance between performance and price.

There are also couple of advantages like PCIe 3.0 x2 support. You won’t count it as advantage till you have motherboard that supports only SSD in M.2 PCIe x2 sockets. There are more motherboards like that in last months and most of them are designed for budget gaming computers or office work.
