Closer Look
Like most other flash drives and cards, also DataTraveler comes in a paper/plastic package which is enough for the time of transport.
Front of the package says about all we need about the product inside so product name, capacity, rated speed and warranty length. We can also see the flash drive itself. Just perfect retail package.
Tested DTE G2 flash drive has 64GB capacity what is more than enough for most users. Our data is protected by metal case which is also water proof. You can feel it’s made of something more than a standard plastic as most competitive products.
The only thing which I’m not a fan of is a protective cap. It protects USB connector but is also easy to lose. So issue or not, depends how you use your flash drive.
I guess I don’t have to describe everything as it’s easy to see on the photos. There are no special features besides maybe activity LED which is blue and is not really bright so is not annoying when we use the flash drive with laptops or other mobile devices.
All know how USB flash drives look like but not all know how new flash drives perform so let’s move to the next page of the review to check what we can expect of the Kingston DTE G2 64GB.
