Conclusion
HyperX Savage is one of the best flash drives tested on the Funky Kit and for sure is worth considering if you are looking for a lightning fast and at the same time high capacity mobile storage.
Performance of HyperX Savage is higher than declared but all depends with what files are we working with. Even though random bandwidth could be higher then performance in sequential operations is great and higher than I was expecting. USB flash drives are devices in which sequential bandwidth ( especially read ) counts the most. Right now it’s hard to find many faster USB drives so we really have nothing to complain about. Performance is simply great.
128GB of HyperX Savage costs about $80 on Amazon right now. It’s not a low price but let’s say reasonable for a 128GB high performance mobile storage. We can probably find something from the competition which would be cheaper but we probably lose on performance or warranty period. Since I mentioned warranty then Kingston is offering five year limited warranty and free support on HyperX Savage. It’s one of the best options on the market.
Kingston has also designed HyperX Savage for gaming console users. It should be a good option for all who are moving data from XBOX 360, XBOX One, PS3 and PS4.
Pros:
- High performance
- High capacity
- 5 year warranty
- New agressive looks
Cons:
- None worth to mention
Final Words
Regardless if you are a gamer or not, HyperX Savage is a great option if you are looking for a large capacity and fast flash drive. It’s one of the best options on the market which is hard to beat considering that all the best is in this small package. We don’t have to decide if better will be high capacity or high performance or maybe longer warranty. HyperX Savage has all of it. It’s maybe not the cheapest mobile storage but you know for what are you paying for. In this case for a extreme, great looking flash drive. Simply worth to recommend.
