Kingston UV400 SSD is designed as a replacement for HDD and for that it’s perfect. Desktop kit makes upgrade quick and easy. Personally I like this simple design. Silver enclosure with black logo looks quite stylish. At the same time it’s made of metal and looks solid.
Performance is higher than I was expecting. Actually in most our tests the UV400 was performing better than Kingston declared. I assume that on some motherboards performance can be a bit lower but guaranteed speed will be still 550/500MB/s.
Kingston UV400 480GB SATA SSD is available in many online stores. Price of SSD is about $117 what isn’t much. At the same time desktop kit costs about $10 more what is worth it considering what we get. At least if we are planning to install UV400 in desktop PC then it’s better to pick desktop kit.
