The SSD supports all the latest technologies to improve stability, data protection, and performance.
A 5-year warranty covers the XS2000 SSD, so the same as previously reviewed Kingston M.2 SSD. It’s good to see that Kingston trusts all the devices, whether they’re installed inside the PC or portable. Usually, portable devices have a shorter warranty, and most competitors won’t give us more than two years.
Above is a screenshot from CrystalDiskInfo, which shows us that the SSD is in perfect condition. The drive arrived with a 0TB written and 0 hours on the counter.
The temperature of the drive is relatively low. In idle we can expect about 25-30°C, while under load it’s passing 50°C. The drive cools down quickly because of the metal enclosure, so we can put it into the pocket without worrying about geting burned.
As you can see above, Kingston software shows us all the details and health status of the SSD. It also found the KC2500 SSD installed in the test PC. For the XS2000, there was no newer firmware than the one which was already in the SSD. The status on the screenshot shows the drive after 30 hours of tests.
