KLEVV CRAS C910 1TB NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD Review

Package and its Contents

KLEVV CRAS C910 1TB SSD arrived in a retail package that is about the size of the typical M.2 SSD box of most other brands. The package is well described with all the features and main specifications. There is also info about support and various safety certificates. The package looks about the same as the one of the previously reviewed C930 SSD, but of course, SSD name and general specifications are different.

Inside the box, we will find an SSD, a heatsink, and a heatsink’s installation instruction. Contents are also similar to what we could see in the C930 package, but the included heatsink is much thinner.
The SSD installation is straightforward, and it’s described in every motherboard manual, so even less advanced users should handle it without problems.

The C910 SSD looks like any other SSD in M.2 2280 standard. Due to its standard design, it’s compatible with all modern motherboards, laptops, gaming consoles, and other devices.
The thin heatsink is perfect for all devices where is a problem with space, so mainly mobile computers. The lower power requirements cause the temperature to be lower than that of a standard M.2 SSD, which is also an advantage in laptops. The C910 is designed to cover the needs of the widest range of various users, and it seems to fit perfectly into every home and office environment.

Most tests were performed with a motherboard’s heatsink, while the heatsink that comes with the C910 SSD was used mainly for high-load tests and to find out the throttling point. As I mentioned, we haven’t seen it throttling during our tests.

On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
