Conclusion
The C910 Lite is not any speed demon. However, its advantages make a nice mix and give us a product that is for sure worth recommendation. The C910 Lite is not the fastest, but it’s fast enough for most users. It runs cool without throttling. It has a single-side design, so it fits even the tightest ultrabooks. It’s hard to say the same about high PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs from other series.
The SSD passed all our tests without issues. We haven’t seen thermal throttling, and everything was working smoothly, even faster than KLEVV specifies it.
While I’m writing this review, I can find the C910 Lite in any store. The expected price is below $100 and closer to $80. It makes it a good deal if we search for a less expensive SSD for our side work or storage for a cheaper PC. The SSD should appear in stores worldwide in the upcoming weeks.
Currently, there’s no MSRP price in USD just yet … so you might want to check out your local retailer for the latest pricing. Expect to pay around USD $100. You can buy something similar (2TB NVME SSD) with prices ranging from USD $100 – $150 from Amazon – https://tinyurl.com/25z27u8c
Final words:
The KLEVV CRAS C910 Lite SSD feels like an improved C910, even though it’s marked as Lite. It performs well, runs cool, has high capacity on a single-sided PCB, and it’s expected to be inexpensive, so it’s worth waiting for. The only disadvantage seems to be the lack of availability in popular stores, but it should improve soon.
The CRAS C910 Lite isn’t the best SSD around, but its advantages make it a very interesting SSD, worth our recommendation.
