Package and its Contents
The KLEVV CRAS C925 2TB SSD arrived in a retail package about the size of most other brands’ typical M.2 SSD box and about the same size as that of previously tested KLEVV M.2 SSDs.
The package is well described with all the features and main specifications. There is also info about support and various safety certificates.
Inside the box, we will find an SSD, a heatsink, and installation instructions for the heatsink. The SSD installation is straightforward and described in every motherboard manual, so even less advanced users should handle it without problems. The package suggests where to go in case of any problems, required manuals, or Acronis software links. The mentioned Acronis software is free and helps us migrate to a new SSD. It saves a lot of work and time in the case of the operating system.
The C925 looks like any other SSD in the M.2 2280 standard, except that every version is promised to be in a single-side design. It’s crucial, especially for thin laptops that often support only single-sided SSDs. Due to its design, the C925 is compatible with all modern motherboards, laptops, gaming consoles, and other devices.
The thin heatsink is perfect for all devices where space is a problem – mainly mobile computers. The lower power requirements and DRAM-less design cause the temperature to be lower than a standard M.2 SSD, which is also an advantage in laptops.
The tests were performed on a modern gaming PC with an AMD Ryzen 7950X processor and Gigabyte B650E Master motherboard. The latest AMD chipsets, which will premiere in two weeks, are expected to produce the same results.
On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
