Package and its Contents
The KLEVV Genuine G560 2TB SSD arrived in a retail package about twice as thick as a typical M.2 SSD box. It’s because of the large heatsink that was installed.
The package is well described with all the features and main specifications. There is also info about support and various safety certificates.
Inside the box, we will find a well-protected SSD and nothing else. Everything else is printed on the package or available on the KLEVV’s website. We should check the product website for Acronis cloning software, which can be handy when moving to the new SSD.
The SSD installation is straightforward and described in every motherboard manual, so even less advanced users should handle it without problems.
The G560 is one of the best-looking M.2 SSDs on the market. The heatsink not only cools the SSD well but also looks fantastic and is different from any other M.2 heatsink. However, we should still provide good airflow as the SSD gets hot during high loads.
There is no information on whether removing the heatsink voids the warranty. However, unlike competitive SSDs, there are no warranty stickers, so it will also be possible to use motherboard cooling. We don’t recommend doing that, as any mechanical damages will definitely void the warranty.
Above are additional photos of the test rig. The G560 looks exceptionally well on white and black motherboards. Here is Gigabyte X870E Pro ICE, which offers three full-speed M.2 PCIe 5.0 sockets.
On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
