Performance
Performance has been tested on an ASUS GL552VW laptop and Intel USB 3.0/3.1 controller. It’s about the same controller which you can find in the Intel 100/200 series chipsets.
At the beginning ATTO so one of the most popular storage benchmarks.
This is actually weird but performance in ATTO is lower than expected and I mean much lower. We know that performance may vary depends on used platform and test files so we won’t panic and move to the next benchmark.
Results in CrystalDiskMark look like they supposed to. Both read and write transfers are close to what Lexar declared. Write is a bit higher while read is a bit lower. After enabling cache options we are passing 150MB/s read but we don’t want to use this option as it may cause data corruption if we unplug the flash drive too fast.
Anvil’s Storage Utilities is also showing good results. Not as high as we would like to see but this benchmark in most cases acts like that.
Performance of Lexar JumpDrive Tough is good and it meets manufacturer specification. Even though in ATTO there were some problems then it’s never guaranteed that in every environment we will see maximum bandwidth. In general it’s hard to complain as performance is still great and should satisfy most users.
