Conclusion
The Lexar JumpDrive M20 is for sure performing well. Even though the write bandwidth was lower than expected, the read bandwidth was over 20MB/s higher and for daily work that is more important so we cannot complain much. The random transfers were also at a pretty good level so even the more demanding users should be satisfied.
The design is good but not perfect. The flash drive looks simple but is pretty solid. The only issue I had, was connector slider which was hard to move. As I mentioned earlier, I hope that it is only related to our review sample. Except that, everything was working fine.
There is no problem with the availability of the JumpDrive M20 even though it is a new product. Amazon is selling them for about $26 USD which is good price for a 32GB flash drive, especially with a micro USB connector.
Lexar is offering a three year warranty on the JumpDrive M20 which is long enough. Probably in these three years everyone will move to a higher capacity or a faster flash drive. We could already see the Lexar P20 reaching 400MB/s so it is not far from the future.
Pros:
- High performance
- Light but solid
- OTG functionality
Cons:
- USB connector slider is hard to move
Final words:
I think that most users will be satisfied from Lexar JumpDrive M20. It is one of the fastest flash drives with a micro USB connector supporting OTG. With the constantly rising mobile devices market, there is also a high demand for flash drives like the JumpDrive M20.
If you are on the market for a flash drive and you care about OTG then JumpDrive M20 is a product worth considering especially that price is reasonable for so handy storage device.
