Package and its contents
JumpDrive S57 comes in similar package as most Lexar flash drive. Everything is well described so we know what are we buying. However I assume that most users are buying flash drives in online stores so package type is more important as a protection for the time of delivery.
Tested JumpDrive S57 has 128GB capacity. It’s a lot for a flash drive but each year users need more space. Even if for daily work you don’t need so much then if you wish to move large photo gallery or HD/4K movies then 128GB if not more can be required. The S57 is available up to 256GB capacity.
As you can see on the photos the S57 has sliding protection for USB connector. I’m not sure if it’s the best idea but for sure it can protect connector from damage so I guess it works like it was designed.
Capless design is the thing I like in flash drives as we won’t lose anything. The S57 has for sure unique design as I don’t remember any other flash drive with sliding “cap” on the market.
The JumpDrive S57 looks quite nice. Exterior is made of plastic but you can feel it’s well designed.
Lexar is declaring maximum speed of 150MB/s but how it’s performing on your platform you can find out on the next page of this review.
