The Lexar NM790 uses the MAP1602A from Maxiotech, it’s one of the new generation of DRAM-Less SSD controllers. Consuming up to 40% less power consumption than DRAM cache-enabled PCIe Gen 4 SSDs.
Installation
No issues with installation. Since the SSD does not come with any heatshield or heatspeader, we highly recommend you use the M.2 heatsinks that come with the motherboard.
