Specification
Closer Look
Lexar Professional Workflow DD512 has arrived to our redaction in a classy looking, transparent package. We have already seen similar package in the highest series of Lexar USB 3.0 flash drives.
On the package we can see general specification which is including maximum bandwidth of 450MB/s read and 245MB/s write bandwidth. Storage device has 512GB capacity and is designed to work on USB 3.0 connection.
Inside the transparent box we can find smaller box which includes USB 3.0 cable and a storage device itself.
One more photo of the box contents. There is not much in the package but it’s all what we need to work. No drivers or anything else. Simply connect to USB port and it’s working.
Probably you’ve noticed 6 leds on the front side of the drive. They’re showing used space what is really handy when you are using more devices like in mentioned storage hub.
Below we can see back of the storage device. Label and a USB 3.0 connector.
DD512 is made of plastic but seems quite durable. However we haven’t been performing any kind of “crash tests”. It’s also light so you can carry it wherever you go. The bigger issue can cause USB 3.0 cable which takes more space and it weight more than the storage itself.
In general Lexar DD512 looks simple but quite good. Even though it’s made of plastic, it looks professional.
