Test Bench
For our tests, we used our Test Rig which consists of an ASRock Z690 Taichi RAZER Edition motherboard, along with an Intel Core i9-12900KF, a ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT graphics card, and 32GB Patriot Viper RGB DDR5-6200 memory kit.
Not all motherboards and PCs can support USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps). Most will have native support for USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) but NOT USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (notice the difference between Gen 2 and Gen2x2). If your motherboard or PC do support USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, then it’s usually on the front USB and it requires a special 20-pin USB Type-E cable which connects to the motherboard. Once you have this connected, you will be able to take full advantage of the speeds offered by the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps) interface.
* ALL tests are conducted at specified default speeds and settings.

AIDA64 Disk Information
Aida64 didn’t show what type of controller the Lexar SL660 uses. I’m guessing it’s all controlled by the USB 3.1/3.2 controller found on the motherboard.
CrystalDiskMark
CrystalDiskMark is a disk benchmark software. It measure sequential reads/writes speed, measure random 512KB, 4KB, 4KB (Queue Depth=32) reads/writes speed, select test data (Random, 0Fill, 1Fill), provide theme support and Multi-Language support.
During our CrystalDiskMark tests, we managed to get a super fast read speed of 2,012.85 MB/sec, which is excellent. It’s slightly above the “advertised” read speed of 2,000 MB/sec. Awesome! Writes speeds were just as impressive, reaching a high of 1,845.66 MB/sec, which is almost up to the “advertised” write speed of 1,900 MB/sec.
ATTO Disk Benchmark
ATTO has created a widely-accepted Disk Benchmark freeware software to help measure storage system performance. As one of the top tools utilized in the industry, Disk Benchmark identifies performance in hard drives, solid state drives, RAID arrays as well as the host connection to attached storage.
AS SSD
As SSD Benchmark is a free tool to check the performance of SSDs and reveal issues with your system. By performing several specific tests on As SSD Benchmark, you will know the performance of your SSD drive. It allows you to perform 3 different tests on any SSD installed on the computer.
During our AS SSD Tests, we managed to get a sequential Read speed of 1,915.43 MB/s and a Write speed of 1,756.05 MB/s. It’s almost up to the “advertised” speeds 2,000MB/s Read and 1,900 MB/s write.
