Conclusion and Verdict
In conclusion, I was thoroughly impressed with the results I got from this thumb drive. On one of the test you can see actually achieved a 200 megabytes per second, read speed, which is well over the advertised speed provided by Mushkin specifications.
When testing I did notice the thumb drive did get a little on the hot side and at one point in time one of the test the drive did hang up and the thumb drive did get really hot but every test after that I had no issues with this Atom drive at all. So that right there shows the durability of this thing. I can’t say anything better I tortured this USB drive while testing it and it is still running strong. Don’t be intimidated by the small size because this thing packs a serious punch when it comes to mobile storage within Fast Access.
The Atom 128GB can be found on Amazon as well as other various e-tailers for around $48 USD.
Pros:
- Super small size
- Great speeds
- 128GB of space
- Quality
Cons:
- Might get hot during long periods of use (doesn’t worry me at all because I got this drive super hot during a hang up in a test and I have had no issues)
Final Thoughts:
The Atom only lacks size because this drive has some serious transfer speeds up its sleeve. Big transfer capabilities all packed into 3/4 inch. Perfect size for those of us that need a drive that doesn’t take up a lot of real estate! I highly recommend the Atom USB if you need a drive that has massive storage amounts while not having to worry about the drive getting banged up when its sticking out of the side of your device.
