Conclusion and Verdict
In conclusion, the Radeon R7 is a great choice if you are in need of a decently priced gaming SSD. The 240 GB may not be enough storage for the size of the games right now but the 480GB has the exact same advertised speeds. I know I have 4 games installed that would barely fit on this drive. With games as of late requiring 60GB of download space, I see this becoming the next hurdle in the SSD world. I will soon be in need of a 2TB SSD that wont break the bank.
As of right now a lot of people I talk to only see the SSD’s price as affordable for using them as a boot drive. When I can buy and 1TB SSD for around a hundred dollars is when I will start using one as a gaming drive. Until then I will tolerate the grinding and whining my old HHD.
The OCZ Radeon R7 -240GB SSD can be found directly on OCZ’s website as well as other various e-tailers for around $132 USD.
