Test Setup
Testing was accomplished on a fresh installation of Windows 7 SP1 x64, with all of the updates and most recent drivers related to our test system. All of the drives used in our tests were first securely erased via software provided by their respective manufacturer and then updated to their latest firmware. Our test setup consists of the following hardware:
Performance
ATTO Disk Benchmark v2.47
The Vector drive managed a maximum read of 558MB/s and a maximum write of 444MB/s. The read speeds are slightly higher than advertised, however the write speeds were just a shade under what was expected. The Vector 150 drive leaves the other two drives behind with the exception of maximum write speeds from the Agility 3 drive.
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 x64
The Vector drive managed a maximum sequential read of 497MB/s and a maximum sequential write of 438MB/s. The results are a bit lower than that of ATTO. However, The Vector 150 drive leaves the other two drives in the dust with this benchmark.
AS SSD Benchmark 1.7.4739
The Vector drive managed a maximum sequential read of 490MB/s and a maximum sequential write of 420MB/s, with a total score of 1039. Again, the results are a bit lower than that of ATTO, however yet again, the Vector 150 drive leaves the other two drives in the dust with this benchmark as well.
And with those results, let us move on to the conclusion of this review.
