Conclusion and Verdict
The Vector 150 120GB solid-state drive is a wonderful drive that surprised me really; first with its impressive alloy construction, overall bundle, and stable performance. To top that, OCZ has showed renewed commitment to their customers by bringing down the house with a five-year warranty. That really tells me that the company has the utmost confidence in their product.
As with all SSDs, the gains you will receive are silent operation, lower power consumption, and higher performance. The Vector 150 drive that we tested today is no exception to the rule and dominated the other drives we tested alongside it.
The only downside that I could come up with is the price. The price per gigabyte is a little bit higher than other drives in the same performance class. We can make a case for balance, however, when we consider the bundled Acronis software license, 3.5″ to 2.5″ adapter, and five-year warranty. I feel you do get your money’s worth quality-wise here. Well done, OCZ, glad to see you again!
