Closer Look
The Patriot Stellar Boost XT came to us in a retail package which is mix of cardboard paper and a plastic blister pack which helps to protect the flash drive.
On the package we can see all of the most important information like the product name and version, declared speed, capacity and supported hardware. In this case we can expect that the drive will work with Android 4.0 based mobile devices. Also, most modern Windows and Mac OS version should not have any problems working with the Patriot Stellar XT.
On the back of the package we can see additional information about how to use our flash drive. There is also information about the manufacturer which includes address and contact data.
Patriot guarantees problem free work for two years. The warranty could be longer than two years as many other manufacturers are offering a three or even a five year warranty for their flash memory products. On the other hand I do not think that most users will use the warranty after the mentioned two years.
As we see on the above and below photos, the Patriot Stellar XT 64GB has two USB connectors. One is a standard USB size while the other is a micro USB. The Patriot Stellar Boost XT also supports USB OTG (On-The-Go), which means that you can use it with most available mobile devices.
When we close our flash drive then it is pretty small. I am almost sure that it can also be also waterproof. The Patriot Stellar Boost XT is covered with a rubber that is quite soft; so we can be sure that it will not crack when we inadvertently drop it on the ground.
