Interestingly, the case which houses the SSD looks and feels like an external enclosure which you can buy from most places. It’s made from Aluminium so does provide sufficient cooling. The whole unit is fairly compact in size measuring 10.7 cm (L) x 3.25 cm (W) x 0.97 cm (H), and weighs in at super light-weight of only 39.6g. I guess that’s why they called it the Transporter Lite.

We connected the Transporter Lite portable SSD to our desktop PC which has the full USB 3.2 Gen2x2 interface and is backwards caompatible with USB 3.2 Gen2 and Gen1. It works fine, producing a maximum read/write speed of around 1000MB/sec.
